Karen Green, Brisbane Naturopath, Herbalist and Nutritionist at Gaining Health Naturally, is passionate about inspiring and educating others to integrate healthy lifestyle choices into their daily lives.
Dedicated to natural health for many years, Karen’s knowledge comes from a vast array of experiences and educational backgrounds. She is a qualified Naturopath, Herbalist and Nutritionist, Teacher and Fitgenes Practitioner, who studied at Endeavour College of Natural Health, Academy of Complementary Health (Newcastle) and Balance for Life (Melbourne) progressing to opening a division of this business in Adelaide.
Karen is currently a clinical Supervisor at ACNT (Australasian College of Natural Therapies) and lecturer for Ivy College in Natural Medicine. As a Home Economics Teacher in the past, she teaches others how to incorporate ‘food as medicine’, seasonal and healthy food choices to create health. She launched a certified organic herbal tea range (after owning a business call The Spice Girls several years ago) with specially selected blends to assist health and healing.
For several years she led tours to stark outback regions of Australia, directing the Wild Flower tours of the West. After becoming the manager of the Government Tourism Information Centre (Cairns), she woke one day with the realisation that her first love, natural medicine, was calling. She had come full circle. Over those many years of travelling, she always used herbs, flower essences and embraced nature to create balance. Coming back into the Complementary Health Industry was like returning home.
Karen would like to give back to an industry that has provided her with many positive experiences. She would like to bring her understanding of working with others and a passion for the industry to assist the NHAA in being the premier association for practitioners across Australia. Providing positive learning experiences and events to its members and growing the membership is something she feels excited about.
Karen, practices in Deception Bay (north Brisbane). She holds workshops and health retreats with the purpose of positively impacting the lives of others.
