0412SC1David studied Behavioural Sciences at USQ and followed that with Registered Nurse training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital where he continued in a permanent part-time position for 20 years, gradually working fewer days as his practice increased working in all major specialties including, emergency (3 years) and infectious diseases (12 years).  Graduating as a Naturopath in 1992 David has been consistently in private practice as a Naturopath in various clinic types over the years. 

In 2002 David commenced (and still is) teaching at the Australian College of Natural Medicine (which later became the Endeavour College of Natural Health), mainly teaching herbal medicine and supervising clinic subjects.  David completed a Masters Health Science (Herbal Medicine) at UNE and in 2007 and upgraded his original Diploma qualification in Naturopathy to a degree in 2009

Currently the co-owner of a Naturopathic clinic in Brisbane, unusual as it functions as a Naturopathic general practice with eight Naturopaths working various days from 3 clinic rooms with a full dispensary.  The clinic is situated in a medical specialists building (with a general medical practice and pharmacy on the ground floor) adjacent to a major metropolitan teaching hospital where he has developed various professional relationships.

In 2016 David enrolled in a PhD at UTS investigating the naturalistic practice of herbal medicine in relation to anxiety and depression (ACTRN12616000010493), passed stage one (confirmation) in July 2017 with recruitment underway.
