Named 2015 Physician of the Year by the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and 2011 Visionary of the Year by UTNE Reader, Dr. Tabatha Parker currently works as Director of Education at the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine (AIHM), the leading provider of interprofessional education to health professionals in Integrative Health & Medicine. In 2015 she received an honorary naturopathic degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and was given the highest honor in naturopathy, “Magister Natura” from Spain for her work advancing the naturopathic profession globally.
Parker was founding co-chair and is current faculty of the Masters in Global Health at National College of Natural Medicine, the first global health masters offered at a naturopathic medical school, and was previously faculty at Bastyr University. She is interim co-secretary general of the World Naturopathic Federation, and worked with the World Health Organization on the WHO Benchmarks for Training in Naturopathy. She is co-chair of the AANP Global Health Committee and agency liaison/author for the Foundations of Naturopathic Medicine Project. Prior to moving from California, she was appointed by Governor Brown to serve on the California State Naturopathic Medicine Committee where she was involved in the promotion and enforcement of laws and regulations of naturopathic medical care.
Dugald Seely ND, MSc, is a naturopathic doctor, researcher and administrator who has contributed to research on naturopathic medicine relevant to its application and evolution. Dr. Seely plays a lead role in developing the field of integrative oncology practice and research.
He serves as the executive director of research & clinical epidemiology at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and is an affiliate investigator for the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Dugald has been awarded over 10 million dollars in competitive grant and trainee funding and has led numerous clinical studies including most recently, the largest randomized integrative cancer care trial in North America.
Justin has spent decades exploring the field of herbal medicines from both a scientific and traditional perspective. Whilst a degree qualified naturopath, he really is a herbalist at heart with a passion for ethnopharmacology, botany and pharmacognosy.
He is the principal consultant at Traditional Medicine Consultancy, which specialises in herbal medicine research and consultancy across areas such as new product development, education and herbal manufacturing. Since 2003, Justin has been lecturing at both Endeavour College of Natural Health and the Australasian College of Natural Therapies in both Bioscience and Naturopathic faculties, teaching anatomy, physiology, clinical pathology, integrated pharmacology, pharmacognosy, Materia Medica and botany subjects. He has also practiced as a naturopath at various clinics throughout both New South Wales and Queensland, specialising largely in mental health and pain management.
