Position Vacant: Financial Accountant

Responsible for the full month end process, preparation of financial profit and loss analysis, general business financial analysis, management reporting, contribution to board reporting, taxation compliance, preparing the budget with the assistance of the EO, involve in year-end tax returns and audits and overseeing payroll processing, the NHAA is currently seeking an appropriate individual to fill the position of Financial Accountant on a part time basis for 3 days per week for the first 3 months reducing to a maximum of 15 hours per week thereafter.

 
Duties will include:

  • Month end close
  • Management reporting
  • Financial reporting
  • Contribution to board reports
  • Budgets
  • Managing the payroll processing
  • BAS & PAYG instalments
  • Liaising with Auditors and Tax advisors
  • Liaising with banks
  • Financial analysis
  • Systems and process improvements
  • Ad hoc projects as required directed by Treasurer and Executive Officer.


You will be part or fully qualified CPA/CA with a bachelor degree and a minimum of 3 years experience in financial accounting. Excellent communication, organisation skills and experience with MYOB will be essential and experience in a not-for-profit environment desirable.
