HERBALIST & NUTRITIONIST INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER WRITER Particular interest in: MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS MANAGEMENT DIGESTIVE DISORDERS STRESS MANAGEMENT Robert was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in January 2003 and successfully used a range of natural therapies to help him recover enabling him to complete his studies and has now been in clinical remission from MS for almost 14 years. Robert was also carer for his late mother who had rapidly advancing vascular dementia and also cared for his elderly father who has Alzheimer’s. Robert’s personal experience with serious ill health and recovery as well as dealing with both his parents’ ill health has provided him with a level of empathy, caring and compassion you can trust. Another interest Robert has in clinical practice is digestive health. He also has a particular interest in using natural medicine to manage stress, and has successfully used lifestyle strategies and herbs to manage the resulting stress that a MS diagnosis inevitably brings, not to mention the stress of looking after parents with dementia. Robert was very active within the natural medicine profession and was Treasurer on the Board of the National Herbalists Association of Australia (NHAA) for 5 years, and served as Secretary of the NHAA Sydney Chapter Committee and was also appointed to the founding Practice Standards Committee of the Australian Register of Naturopaths and Herbalists (ARONAH). Robert enjoys writing and presenting and has had articles published as well as taught his own personal development courses. In his spare time Robert likes to practise tai chi, meditate and go for walks in nature.
