Elder flower beauty cream

From Linda Bates.

The rugosa rose is one of Culpeppers medicinal herbs and we make rosehips tincture with the seed pods or hips. This cream makes a great gift for birthdays and Christmas. Use the herbs freshly picked and really squeeze the plant matter through the sieve to get every drop of goodness from those herbs.

At Christmas in the blender use fresh Rosa rugosa flower heads into the infused water so the fresh rose smell goes into the cream. If adding the fresh rose flowers don’t add the essential oils.

With this recipe there is no preservative ingredients. Any addition of preservative (natural or unnatural) completely changes the delicacy of the aroma and the skin’s enjoyment of this gift. It is full of fresh plant matter and will go off quite fast if not refrigerated. However, it will also be unforgettable in it’s perfume and it’s action.
