About our presenters:
Monica Francia, Naturopath, Herb Farmer, Trained teacher in Natural Fertility (BHSc Nat, MNHAA)
Monica Francia (she/her) is a queer Naturopath, Trained Teacher in Natural Fertility and Medicinal Herb Farmer practicing at Goulds Natural Medicine in nipaluna/Hobart and growing on mumirimina land as a part of Rocky Top Growers Collective. She has a strong sustainability and social justice base to her practice and is the chapter co-coordinator for Hobart Herbalists Without Borders, a non-profit organisation running Free Naturopathic Clinics in Tasmania as well as regular community events. She runs workshops and talks on Herbal Medicine Making and Menstrual Health and provides professional education and mentorship for Community Herbalism and LGBTQIA+ inclusive practice. 

Sage King, Fertility Naturopath + Nutritionist, & LGBTQIA+ Advocate (BHSc – Naturopathy)
Sage King (she/her) is a degree-qualified naturopath and nutritionist, specialising in fertility, infertility, complimentary ART support, pregnancy care, & reproductive health. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she advocates for the recognition & inclusivity of her community & is passionate about providing safe spaces for all. Sage recently co-wrote & presented practitioner education on preconception care, as well as educative content on LGBTQIA+ inclusivity in naturopathic practice & provides mentoring for practitioners wanting to comprehensively support their LGBTQIA+ patients. Sage is currently working alongside NICM Health Research Institute investigating the impact of naturopathic interventions on premature ovarian insufficiency and pregnancy outcomes.

In this webinar Monica Francia and Sage King will explore inclusivity in health care through an LGBTIQA+ lens. This workshop aims to increase LGBTIQA+ literacy within the Naturopathic  profession. 

Monica & Sage will be delving into what LGBTIQA+ means, pronouns, gender expression versus sexual orientation, and the importance of diverse screening for LGBTIQA+ clients. 

This webinar will upskill practitioners to better support the LGBTQIA+ community. Learn the skills to confidently use correct pronouns and modify case taking for diverse clients. Take home additional resources to continue to practice inclusively and make your clinic more accessible for LGBTIQA+ folk.
