The NHAA welcomed the announcement that the Australian Government not only accepted recommendations to reinstate private health insurance (PHI) rebates for naturopathy and Western Herbal medicine, but have now changed the legislative rules to allow this to happen. This means that effective 1 July, 2025, private health insurance funds can now once again include naturopathy and Western herbal medicine in their packages.
